4 years & counting, worked with ten + cats & kittens at a rescue, fantastic support

We've had the lavvie for four years, working on five now. We'd honestly love a second one if Purrsong would ever like to sponsor our rescue! ;-) We're @kohiandie on IG.

We've put this machine through the ringer. We run a rescue and we have quite a bit of cats using this every day. We've had to replace the rake several times because it does get overloaded though I don't imagine it would happen if we just had two or three cats using it. I'm not blaming the company at all. We did have to replace the motor once. Again, likely because it was overwhelmed. The rakes only cost $27 to replace!!

Having a machine that all the parts can be easily replaced is fantastic. You don't have to buy an entirely new litter just because one thing breaks. It's been years and the replacements have all been available for purchase at a low price or for free.

Lavvie has footed the bill on the motor (around $100) and several rakes for us, all it took was an e-mail explaining what happened, photos, and our machine information. We started to buy some rakes in advance just to make sure we have them, scraping the bottom litter pan twice a day to make sure nothing gets stuck or hurts the rake, but for a machine that does get put through the ringer, we've been able to replace several parts easily and get it back into perfect condition.

We LOVE our lavvie. It's a monster of a machine & Purrsong's company has helped us every step of the way when we've needed it.

Doesn't Last

Lavviebot is a great concept, not only self-cleaning and self-filling but tracking data to help keep up with the health of your cats. However, parts keep breaking in normal use, starting almost immediately upon delivery. My motor has failed twice, as have the door hinges. The rake just snapped, dealing with wet litter from a small cat. Some parts are VERY difficult to replace. The warranty for such an expensive, complex item is way too short. With the latest failures, my bad investment is headed for the dump.

Great product

I bought this box three months ago. We love it sadly we can't use app I purchased the refurbished unit and it says the serial number is already in use. It is not a big deal since everything you need is right on the unit. We have gone through several litters and I highly recommend trying natural clumping litter it smells and works better than any bentonite litter. There are several different natural brands just be sure you get the fine grain clumping. We use the corn husk one from Walmart.

LavvieBot S Robotic Litter Box

Alright folks this litter box is the definition of buy once, cry once in the way that it is a high quality litter box that absolutely out preforms all others on the market. When I first started looking for an automated litter box a couple things that were important to me were, 1. Quality and customer support. 2. The least scariest sounds that can come from the machine as possible (didn’t want my cat to get scared and revert to having accidents around the house). 3. Getting the most out of the machine for how much I pay. I’ve had the machine for about 6 or so months now and it has easily hit all 3 goals. The company is easy to get ahold of with any support issues, they have videos to troubleshoot any problems that come along, and the app tracks all the needs for the robot. My easily skittish cat uses it no problems, it gives you the option to wait to clean from 10 minutes to 1 hour after use. The best part is I refill the litter reservoir 1x every 3 months, empty the waste box 1x every 3 weeks. Easily the best investment for keeping a clean litter box. I know the price of the machine makes you want to scroll past, but I did my research of all the robotic litter boxes on the market and this was the best one. Remember, but once, cry once! You won’t regret it!

LavvieBot S

I really love the idea of this machine and I wish it worked flawlessly. I have two ragdoll cats using this box and I empty it once every 5-7 days which is fine. My cats seem to like to pile up the litter on one side of the box so when the box scoops, a significant amount of litter goes into the bin and I'll have to level it out every couple of days to get the full 7 days which is annoying. If I don't, when I pull out the bin it dumps the overflow behind the bin. On occasion, my, 5 year old ragdoll will get serious about burying his waste and knock over the entrance platform and the access to the waste panel. I'll get a lovely notification that the waste is full only to find the machine has been partially disassembled. The major challenge I have is one of my cats either likes to pee in front of it or on top of it. The vet confirmed there's nothing wrong with my two year old cat. I've spoken to LavvieBot support and they recommended opening the side panel, but the problem persists which has turned me off from buying a second box. He just doesn't like going in for #1 for whatever reason. It's a pain once the urine gets under the box cause it's not a smooth surface underneath and it's a pretty heavy bulky box to maneuver especially with one person. With the side panel open, my 5 year old cat likes to dump litter outside the box. I've resorted placing a large tray in front of the box so it's easier to clean, but now that it's the middle of winter, taking the tray outside to clean is not ideal. I would hate to resort to puppy pads. For such an expensive box, I can't say I'm 100% satisfied. Still looking for the perfect cat box solution.
